Each time we go to Florida we go to this nice market. It is only there Saturdays which is the down side! You can buy many fresh vegetables and fruits, but each year it is more and more a lunch food court. It smeels good, cuban food, fresh donuts, popcorn, etc.... So better if you do not eat before going there! On the other side of the parking area there are exposant that sell arts. Hand made bags, rings, wall decorations, etc...Also it is on the water, so you can see some fish, manatees and dolphins. Don't misse the nice boats located in the small marina!

I attend the Fort Pierce Farmers Market on a weekly basis. Unfortunately last Saturday we were rained out. A rare experience. I always sit up by the band as I dearly love all the music. The food is amazing & the vendors are amazing as well. We rate #1 in the State of Florida. We started up small back in 1997 and have steadily grown since then. People come from all around the state & country to visit. Snow Birds love it!

County fair atmosphere with a live band. Fresh fruit and vegetables, breads and breakfast/lunch. The Craft Fair features jewelry, arts and crafts for sale. Fun things to see and buy.Come and sit on the sea wall and eat an omelet wrap with a cup of coffee and top it off with a pastry all fresh from the food vendors in the park. Best Saturday morning thing to do in Florida....

A wide diversity of fresh foods, baked goods, memorabilia, and other homemade products difficult to imagine. Much like old time marketing where farmers brought their products to town on the weekend for barter or sale. The venue is superb and improving regularly as the nearby Fort Pierce Marina is being re-built and expanded just offshore. During the Christmas holidays stop by for the music with tree lights blinking in time to the music. Parking is at a premium during the winter season, but only a few block away there is additional free parking.

This is known as the Saturday morning tradition. Where else do you get live music in the morning and about 40 vendors selling baked goods, fresh produce, plants, household items, and vendors selling greek, seafood, breakfasts, barbeque and jamaican specialties. The place runs year round with the tourist season the most crowded and most people wander around with their coffee, pastries, or breakfast sandwich and sit along the seawall taking in the sun and listening to the music. I go almost religiously every Saturday that I am in town and get my breakfast and someethin to cook for the tha day and Sunday. There are several seafood vendors that have great stuff as well.

The venue (right next to the waterfront) is perfect! The selection of items available is more than I could have imagined. The food vendors are great, especially the fresh bakery items. The area gets very crowded (at least it did while we were there), so get there early to find a parking spot. I; also, found it a little distracting that there were so many dogs. I even observed two dogs that were growling & jumping at each other....too crowded of a space to bring them to. Overall, though, I would go back in a heart beat!

We have been to this event several times in the past few years. The food vendors are great, especially like the fresh baked goods. This place gets crowded, parking is at a premium so get there early. My only complaint might be the number of shoppers who bring dogs. When it gets this crowded it can be a problem. I nearly tripped over an animal and I saw others who did have problems. It is very enjoyable but get there early and waych your step.

In all of my travels I always try to find the local farmer's market. It gives you a sense of the community and you experience foods and handcrafts from the area. This is without a doubt the best farmer's market I have ever been to. Excellent and varied food, great coffee, great produce, reasonable prices this market has it all. And the location right on the marina on the Indian River Lagoon is amazing. Great music playing in the background, sit back with a coffee and people watch or just enjoy the sun. I suggest you arrive early (it is open from 8-noon) as it got quite crowded around 10:30. We arrived at 8:30 and found free parking with no trouble. We are here for several more weeks yet and we will be returning for sure.

Since I'm a guy, it's the food items that interest me at this market. And there are lots from which to choose. We generally hit the veggie stand for fresh local produce, bread/bakery vendor for their mini ciabattas and a 12-grain loaf, and pick up a bottle of fresh squeezed oj. Plenty of breakfast stands, too, with delicious burritos and the like. Lots of stands with trinkets, jewelry, and other local "arts and crafts" as well, if you're so inclined.

The Main Street Fort Pierce organization coordinates a variety of activities to promote fun, tourism and knowledge of the Fort Pierce area. Recent examples are a Haunted Tour and two trolley tours. The Haunted Tour featured dozens of historical characters from Fort Pierce's past in costume at or near their appropriate historical setting telling of their life's adventures and relating it to the rise of the town , formerly part of Edgar Town. These interesting tales are historically researched and presented by local residents. Visitors walk from home to home , store to store, venue to venue over several hours to 'discover' the living past of Fort Pierce. On separate trolley tours, narrator and Main Street President Sue Dannahower, tells some of the tales of downtown Fort Pierce and the western architecture/history of the 'other side of the railroad tracks'. Combined these activities are interesting , enlightening and informative. As a small city , Fort Pierce does an incredible job of promoting the arts. On one tour, the artist who was commissioned to paint more than 100 benches in the area accompanied the group and gave an insightful explanation of the many paintings, sculptures and obelisk in the area. Each of these activities is a bargain at $10 per tour and you can count on a few hours of fun learning if you sign up. There are many more fun things to do in this little 'treasure' on the Treasure Coast like horse back riding on the beach, beautiful beaches convenient to either ocean or river, museums, fine dining or casual eating, and even entertainment that ranges from comedy clubs, jazz performances, ballet, concerts and more....

The farmers market has a fabulous variety of foods from veggies to breads, spreads to fruit, juices to fish and more. Definitely a way to spend a morning and talk to some local providers. There is prepped food so you can shop for some groceries then sit down along the inlet wall, have a bite to eat and enjoy the view. There is also an arts and crafts fair set up across the street, the art museum and a lovely downtown.

This is a must see. Open in full force on Saturdays and partial vendors on Wednesday. There is a wide variety of fresh food for purchase from organic meats and produce to fresh fish and honey to fresh squeezed citrus juices and natural cosmetics. Every imaginal food item to consume while walking or bring home to cook with. Fresh baked breads and pastries sell out quickly so come early. The location is perfect with a breeze from the water. Marina with spectacular boats, Manatee center (yes you will see the manatees under bridge) and artisans across the street with the most beautiful creations for sale as well. Dont forget to bring a heavy duty bag or basket for all your purchases and bring the sunscreen too! Cross the street for some of the best gelato around (Uncle Carlo's) but I'll save that for another review.

I've been told that the Ft. Pierce Farmer's Market is 1 of the top 10 in the US and the top Farmer's Market in Florida. This is a claim to fame which is hard to live up to, and it did not disappoint. I had a look through the stalls selling everything from soaps, jazzy denims, unique jewellery and even a massage if you feel like stopping for one. I was hungry, so I headed to the food stalls, which is where the live music was playing. I was bebopping around as I looked for a good cup of coffee. Which incidentally, is hard to find in Ft. Pierce. Most places do not make coffee strong enough for me. I found my great coffee as well as the most delicious crepe with cheese and spinach. I also found the best Muesli bread from a bakery stall. I will have to go back just to get another loaf of that bread. I danced to the golden oldie's being played by a live band, found some unique items for my Christmas shopping list, and had so much fun doing so. Ft. Pierce you rock Famers Markets. So much here for everyone and anyone! I don't think washrooms are available? I managed to find one in the public library just across the street.

From arts and crafts vendors to food vendors and fresh, local produce the Fort Pierce Farmer's market is a local attraction that is hard to beat. Located directly on the waterfront near the recently completed man made barrier islands designed to protect the yet-to-be-built new city Marina (destroyed during the '04 hurricanes) this venue has something for almost anyone..........and the music from a local band is a bonus.

We got to the market at 11:45, due to a traffic delay. Beautiful items in the craft area. What seemed strange to me was that the food kiosks closed at 12 noon. Doesn't seem too smart to exclude the people who might want to buy their lunch there. If the hours for the food area had been extended till at least 2pm I would have given it 5 stars. Happily we were able to browse among the other items for sale, and there was a terrific selection with reasonable prices.
