They have two lakes, a large wooded area, new office facilities, many bathrooms , showers, drinking fountains, picnic tables, 30 or more camping sites, half of the sites are occupied. You see lots of squirrels, moscovies(ducks), egyptian geese. A few dogs on a lease. Their is a charge on the week end.
Dogs allowed on leash (I poopy scooped and since I was on the walking trail had to walk a while before finding a trash can!) - also would like to see more water fountains. Nice camping spots although I was just walking, not staying. Office could do with a little refurbishment, although it looks like they are building or remodelling "something"$1.50 per person on weekends
From start, when we got there ,the personel was not friendly at all. And at the end of our stay, they literally kicked us out 10 minutes before our check out time. The train noise is horrible! and runs from very early in the morning to very late at night. And campsites for tents are 2 small concrete slabs. Never going again. Not recommend.
Beautiful, well kept grounds with paved sites. The frequent and close trains were expected and didn't bother us. What DID bother us was the different stories we got from different staff members about what was allowed and what wasn't. After being given a "hard time" by an otherwise friendly staff person, we were told, by the manager, that we should not have been given a hard time in the first place. We were doing nothing wrong, but were made to feel very uncomfortable and will not go back. Staff training is needed... to say the LEAST. We were there for two nights with a newer RV to visit our son who lives nearby.
I happen to live beside Easterlin Park, and I think the poeple who have responded lately were expecting the QUIET OPEN SPACES OF KANSAS in the heart of Ft Lauderdale. THe Park is very nice for the area. There is an adjacent park Royal Palm Park, where you can catch your fish for dinner. Or you can go directly east to the # 1 Fish Restaurant less than a mile. There is really not much to walk to from the park. You must get what you need before you arrive. BJ's and Publix's are located less than a mile from the park. On Prospect RD to the north you will find a convenience store and 3 blocks east will be WINGS (yummy) and Garden Diner, Aucapulco Restaurant and Walgreens, as well as a bakery and Fruit market. Yes we have trains and Freeways in South FLorida and do not come expecting differently and the tracks are a block (if you are from Kansas) from the campgrounds, but a speedboat on the river may be a lot closer,.
great park for your out of town guest that have rv's friendly and well staffed and clean, had friend from Texas stay a week and he had fun.
I was introduced to this park with the addition of an 18 hole disc golf course. Not the best course in the world but challenging in the woods style as opposed to the other local course which focuses on longer holes with open spaces. Our family also enjoys the shaded playground. Do be wary of some individuals 'cruzing' in this park. I wish the park management and local PD did a little more to discourage this.
Pros: Its got patches of areas which are quietCons: The rest of the park is noisy! We got a campsite called D5 and it was right next ot the rail track and the I-95! If you are trying to get away from the city... this is not the place!! NOT worth $40!!!! Its quiet small without much attractions. The RV park looked much better through.
