We did not have a reservation. We drove there and thought we were going to be the only ones on the sleigh ride until another couple arrived. It is an actual sleigh which was very cool and the ride was smooth and comfortable with plenty of blankets provided for warmth. Everyone at the farm was very friendly and laid back. It was just what we were looking for. We rode through the beautiful pastures/open land then into woods a bit and stopped at a campfire. We got out and there was a little covered shed type of building where there was warm apple cider. It was delicious and the fire was warm and cozy. We just hung out there for a while. Getting to know each other and taking in the beautiful views. It also gave the horses a good amount of time to rest. Then we got back in the sleigh and rode back to the farm. Total time about 45 min. to an hr. It was perfect and the driver was very nice.

The farm is very child friendly - see the animals and check out the store for local produce. Animals - cows, goats, chickens....

Enjoyed our sleigh ride through the woods on a very cold snowy Saturday afternoon. Mid-way we stopped for hot apple cider and roasted marshmallows around an outside fire pit. They also have a great store for local items such as fresh bread and cheese.

While hosting guests from Massachuesetts, we decided a visit to Taylor farm for a sleigh ride would fit the bill for part of the Vermont winter experience. We fed the draft horses gigantic carrots while we waited our turn to ride the sleigh. The sleighs were equipped with blankets to help take off the chill. The ride was through the field and into the woods with beautiful views of the Vermont mountains. We stopped in the woods by a shack with hot cider and chatted by a fire pit with marshmallows and sticks ready for roasting. We stayed there about a half hour, enjoying talking with our sleigh driver - very friendly Vermonter! After the ride, we stopped in the farm shop and bought some yummy Taylor Farm maple gouda cheese. Great time had by all!

Fun sleigh ride into the woods to a wooden hut with hot cider and a wood fire for roasting marshmellows waiting for us! Our driver was a true New Englander with interesting tales. Nice little shop with local farm cheeses. Definitely recommend.

"Seasonal sleigh rides" - oh my. by day or night - be whisked through an open field on a beautiful wooden sleigh. through a forest path with bobtails ringing till you reach a solitary shed. Your driver will serve you hot cider and direct you to the picnic table for a stick and marshmellows to roast over the open fire. Enjoy the crisp air, and a feeling of authenticity that is hard to find these days. two big draught horses make a perfect photo opp. It's something we do each year with our VT visitors because the kids ask for it - it's just perfect. we go at night usually and if we're lucky, the moon and stars give these city kids a big show - it's well worth the $20 to leave the ipads and tv's and lights behind for an hour. just stand next to a fire with your cousins and laugh - discuss 'the perfect marshmellow' and if they wouldn't sing on the way out there, you'll definitely hear them humming on the ride back - super special. Thanks Taylor Farm for creating such a perfect environment for our family's happy VT memories. Oh - and then there is a cheese shop to grab a block-o-yummy for later. I believe you can pre-buy a basket of goodies for fireside and the ridetoo. There is a cheese making room that they'll be happy to show you and many items to see and discuss in the shop - it's a good family stop.

Taylor Farms have the best cheeses. We loved the location and local culture. We were able to find out info from the owner.

Such a cute stop on our Vermont cheese trail trip. We are a NYC couple that needs more outdoors time and had so much fun feeding the animals. The cheese was delicious. We also bought some rhubarb strawberry jam that we were sad we didn't buy more of!

The folks at Taylor Farm have done a bit to make the farm visit interesting for all. In addition to a delicious selection of cheeses made on site and a variety of local products, there are whimsical farm displays like the family of stuffed pigs driving an old farm truck. Signs around the farm indicate where to see such things as animals and work areas. Quite enjoyable.

We pulled up and chickens and goats were roaming free. We got fresh milk-unpasturized-just filtered. Tasted good but had an aftertaste of grass...maybe that's how it's supposed to taste?! cheese room smelled strongly (of course) but the cheeses looked amazing.

The family running this farm is super friendly, as are their cows, pigs, donkeys, horses, puppies and dogs. Their cheese is yummy and they'll let you sample if you ask :)

We selected this farm upon visiting Vermont due to their welcoming website and flexible times. Everyone was friendly and the animals were well conditioned to public interaction. Charming little store with knowledgeable staff. Great place to visit for all ages, with or without kids. Highly recommend!

This was very different than anything I've been to before. We visited in the morning during summer. Walked through the store first were the Taylor Farms cheeses were on sale, very delicious. Outside the milk truck was filling up. We then visited the chickens and goats out back, and were tempted to go further, but as it is an active farm, several people were working tractors and other equipment. Another staff member encouraged us to walk around a bit more and take a look. We enjoyed seeing the cows up close and even a pic with several young piglets. We had a hard time shaking the feeling of being in the way.

The horse drawn sleigh ride through a forest trail was amazing. Short ride but every minute a treat. Horses take you through winding trail that ends with an outdoor fire, hot cider, marshmallows to roast with ski mountains in the background. Guests are invited to BYOB which was a nice treat to go with our hot cider :). Farm has a shop with Vermont cheese, etc. and kids loved visiting the cows. HIghly recommended. There was a puppy out in the snow that had the shivers and I wanted to take him home, but the owners assured he was well cared for and belonged to one of the staff. Taylor farms is the real deal. Not a spectacle for tourists, more like you get to be a part of the farm, if only for a short while.

Took a sleigh ride at Taylor farms- it was great! Highly recommend. You ride through the forest then stop midway at a fire pit to make marshmallows and have apple cider. You can take pictures here with the horses, and then ride back to barn. Ralph the driver was very nice. We purchased some cheese at the store and they lent us a wicker basket with a knife and cutting board so we can enjoy our cheese at the midway point. There is a picnic table there to sit. It was a very thoughtful gesture!We had a wonderful time and met some very nice people who were also on the ride.Compared to other places, we found taylor farm very reasonably priced. $20 per adult and $10 child?? for 45 minute ride.There are also chickens and cows towards the back of cheese shop you can go and see.It was about a 15 mint drive from Manchester.Definitely make it a part of your vacation!
