sullivan museum and history center

Norwich University, being the oldest private military college built this museum a few years ago and if you enjoy military history its worth stopping by. They do an excellent job of displaying their history. There is a room dedicated to Grenville Dodge, an alum and the builder of the transcontinential railroad. The displays are well appointed and presented, there is even a Gaitling Gun that has been preserved. This hidden gem of a museum is attached to the back of the library right off rte 12. If you are a military history buff it's worth the stop, plus the cadets that I met there give you faith in our future leaders!
