Fun place to visit, lots of great beers to try and the food is good to. Lots of variety and the tour is interesting to. Checkout the bbq festival and Oktoberfest events for s good time.
My trip to Vermont consisted of skiing in Killington and visit breweries. I highly recommend Harpoon. Ask for Josh D.
I'll start with being honest: Beer is not my cup of tea normally. But my partner just loves beer!So we ended up here during our roadtrip in New England and Canada, and I must say that it was well worth it.You can get a short walking tour in the brewery but of course you mostly get her to dring their own beer. And you could get some samples of them all to zip on the outdoor café. We sat down for a while and I tried some of the beers - quite okay for me. My pertner just loved them...
We stopped in quickly for a snack and a beer yesterday afternoon. My husband and son loved their Beer. Great selections. A lot to try. We ordered onion rings and sweet potato fries. Both very good. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We heard that they have music on Thursday nights and stay open late so we decided to come back for dinner. Returned about 7 ish. The place was packed! Local musician has a big following and was very enjoyable. We waited about 30 to 45 mins but it was fine. The hostess and bar staff were excellent. And my husband and son were enjoying the beer. When seated we ordered 2 burger specials and I had the fish & chips. Very good! Our waitress Hudson was super. The only suggestion I can make is for the non- beer drinker (me). I have tried to like beer. Lol. Only 3 options lemonade, fresh brewed ice tea and homemade rootbeer. Maybe offer some local wines and a diet soda would be great too. We will be back next time in the area.
We just did the brewery tour and tasting here and had a great time. We did an early tour so we were the only two on it. The two guys that led our tour did a great job. It was definitely the most detailed brew tour I have been on. We were able to ask lots of questions. At the end of the tour we sampled a lot of their beers. It was nice to try some of the seasonals I have not seen before. They had a large brew store and restaurant too. It was a fun stop during our weekend in Vermont!
This was a great place for a few beers, good sandwich and live music. It's was crowded but we found a place at the bar and enjoyed trying new beers--good casual choice
Good sandwiches and of course beer and good service. Avoid Labor day when they can't keep up with the demand.
Taking the tour is always fun and informational. Then sitting back and drinking some very fresh and delicious beer and having some lunch is a bonus. Be sure to buy some of the fresh beer at the store.
Stopped there on a seasonable cool day to enjoy some outside dining and beer. Outside is shaded but seemed chilly while holding a cold beer...go figure :) Easy to get to just off the highway. I'll say the food was just ok... Grass feed beef is not a juicy burger but more of a lean variety. Just beware if looking for a fatty juicey kinda burger. Pulled pork also kind of dry but also not buried in BBQ sauce as sometime you might get. Last ordered was turkey wrap sandwich, no complaints. Onion rings were the bomb.Ton's of beers to choose from from dark to pale and all kinds of seasonal flavors in between. Cranberry? Pumpkin? Cider? I think I saw sample size serving if can't decide or just want to try before buy...Didn't take the tour but I'm sure it would be impressed. This place is clean, well organized and well worth the stop in if just to pick up some 20? or so different types of beer by bottle or growler and everything Harpoon in souvenirs.
We visited the Harpoon Brewery for October fest. It’s a family oriented, dog friendly, outdoor event. The Jolly Kopperschmidts played traditional Bavarian Music the entire day, the tuba player was awesome, engaging the crowd, the kids, even the dogs. They were really fun. The festival was affordable. We enjoyed many of the different Harpoon beers as well as excellent bratwurst, potato pancakes, and lovely company. The brewery set up outdoor tables in the German October Fest style, and we enjoyed chatting with folks from all over the region. There were activities for kids and adults. Attend! It’s delicious and fun!!
We paid a visit here on our trip round NE and found we had turned up on festival day. Parked a little way from the site and was bussed in on a school bus. Our entry ticket on the day included free glass of beer from a great selection plus a brewer tour which was taken in a small group and lead by one of the brewers from the Boston site. This was interesting and informative. Food selection on site was good and included pizza from a woos fired oven which smelled great. Overall a good afternoon visit onto a busy and lively day. Would certainly recommend a visit.
Great food, and of course beer! Staff are friendly and they have a nice outdoor seating area. We went to the barbecue competition last year which was a lot of fun. We come every year when we are back in the area and are never disappointed. Good for families as well as just hanging out with friends.
We've always been a fan of the beer and the food held up! The service was good, the food was great and local. We hung around and waited for the tour and it was worth it. Best brewery tour we've done in VT. It's a little out of the way but, worth the trip.
Stopped in for early dinner. So glad we did! The dark beer was fantastic. The IPA selection was great. We ordered the following and each was deemed delicious: Vermonter (smoked turkey, mustard, onion, apple), Rueben, Pulled Pork, Rachel ( smoked turkey and sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing on rye). Delicious! The French fries were quite tasty as was the cole slaw. Service was prompt, friendly, attentive. Family friendly. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Ample parking. DEFINATELY will return!
Drove some time to get here, but enjoyed the experience. Had beer sampler. I would go again, and it has inspired me to visit more factories and breweries.
