This place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was great for families and couples. Its a much needed addition that shows the beauty of this city.

It is a very nice to take a leisurely stroll along the Scioto river. This attraction has just recently been upgraded as part of a downtown beautification project and has paved walkways and lots of places to sit and enjoy the views.

I take my children here as much as possible during warm weather months. There is always something for families. Sometimes it's live music. Sometimes it's a theater production, the Fountainside summer series or just the fun of playing in the fountains. Whatever is going on you know it's going to be a whole lot of fun. My family LOVES the Scioto Mile!!!

What has been completed is good but more and better to come. It is a huge improvement from what it was. Just remember it is a work in progress and can't wait to see it completed. Hopefully in less than ten years.

Fairly new area and a real treat for Columbus. Overlooks the river, a beautiful new bridge, great restaurant (Milestone 225), and a beautifully landscaped and paved stroll through Downtown Columbus. Beautiful metal benches along the way to sit and soak more in.

Beautiful any time of day. Stop and check out COSI, Milestone 229, or Bicentennal park along the way. Some of the best views of Columbus can be had from North Bank Park or across the river in front of COSI.

The Scioto Mile stretches along the Scioto River through downtown Columbus. Great for a walk or biking. The best place to be for Red, White, and Boom the July Forth Fireworks display.

Great area to walk downtown with kiddos & in the summer the splash area is wonderful. We love walking down there & enjoying playtime at Columbus Commons on Food Truck day every summer. Such an improvement to the area.

Beautiful along the river at midnight, beautifully lit up for christmas! Very romantic, found a parking spot right outside!

Columbus added this walk two years ago, and it has become very popular with locals and tourists alike. At the south end there is a good restaurant which fronts on the outdoor water park for kids and families. It's fun to walk down there in the summer and see the hundreds of kids have a ball in the water.

I didn't get to see it. the whole place was closed down! And they even stopped the river from flowing. Was not happy about any of this.

Will be neat once the construction is complete. Right now it is fenced off from going under the bridge.

Beautiful area of downtown that features a nice walk (or run if that is your preference) along the river and a lighted fountain and water garden. There is construction in progress to add some green spaces so it will be even more spectacular when the construction is completed.

The Scioto Mile is a great asset for downtown Columbus: it features the river and gives the city (which is otherwise pretty nondescript) a geographic identity. The Mile is pretty at night and in the summer, and is best visited during one of the festivals (my favorite being the art festival). At that time, the bridges and streets are lined with vendors. it gives the downtown area the feel of a human city. If you're driving through, it's worth a quick stop and walk, and you'll probably stop here anyway, seeing as it is between the State House and COSI, two big downtown attractions. The future riverfront park will add much-needed greenspace and civic space to downtown Columbus, and is an exciting development to watch (lots of construction right now).

I stayed at a hotel in German Village, and needed a morning run. Was able to access the trail off of Whittier. Very nice!
