If you park at Ona Beach parking lot, a short walk through coast pines will bring you to a nice arched bridge over Beaver Creek that will put you on the beach. From there at all but the highest tides you have about a 1.5 mile walk to the south before your way is blocked by an ancient lava flow. If you park in the small off-road spot just north of the Estate Drive, a short walk through the dune grass puts you on a wide, flat beach that allows a walk of about 7 miles (one way) to the Yaquina River at Newport. Whatever walk you choose to do, be sure you check the waves and the tide charts. The Oregon coast is spectacular, but its power must be respected.BTW, I live right across the highway and can see the park and bridge from my west windows. It is a good one.

Brian Booth State Park (formally Ona Beach and Beaver Creek Natural Area) is a great place to visit if you are on the Oregon Coast. You can hike the trails (dogs allowed "on leash"). We were there on a sunny July Saturday and never saw anyone else. The trails are well marked. Pick up a trail map at the very nice visitor center. Also, if you like to kayak or us a SUP, there is a boat ramp just off highway 101. Kayaking there I saw a beaver, osprey and other wildlife. The state park has kayak trips they run all summer. Call for a reservation a few weeks in advance.
