We saw Trombone Shorty in concert here recently. We had never been to this facility and were really impressed. This is a first class venue- nice seating with great acoustics. Really just a classy place to see a concert. I highly recommend it!
Great seating arrangement, funny stuff, enjoyable evening. Auditorium has great acoustics. You can hear and see from almost anywhere except the upper balconies.
This is a very nice facility for the performing arts. The acoustics are good and the seating is comfortable. A wide variety of productions are presented here throughout the year.
Just an amazing theater. I've been here twice in the past two months. I can't believe that such a small town could have such a magnificent theater. Who'd a thunk it?
This is a good venue, the sound is pretty good and it isn't overly large. We sat in the orchestra section, but the balcony seats looked really good too. The snack bar sells wine and candies etc. produced by the students from things they learn growing and manufacturing. We were trying to feel our way to the center from the entrance sign on the highway, that was really dumb, the campus is huge and convoluted. But the people we encountered were nice and the show we saw was enjoyable.
Not a bad theatre for a lousy college. Many people who graduate here end up doing something else. GO MUSTANGS! GO HOME!
This is a great place to go for the entertainment you like. There isn't a bad seat in the house and they are comfortable. Swift entry and swift exit. The parking is good as well.
Acoustics in this beautiful building are amazing. The Oregon top of the art. The performances have all been outstanding. There is not enough good things to be said about this wonderful facility . A must see
In between Farmers Market and all the good food and drink in SLO we saw Beauty and The Beast at the PAC. Great venue and excellent performance. Tickets are reasonable, every seat is good. Check scheduled and buy tix online.
The Cohan looks new. Fabulous acoustics, great sight lines. The Spanos, next door, is much smaller. Very intimate. They get a nice line up of various kinds of entertainment: Eddie Izzard to the Chinese Circus and everything in between.
The SLOWINDS Orchestra was accompanied by three chorale groups. It was a tremendous performance, and we were particularly excited to be in attendance to support this all volunteer orchestra. The oboe section consists of a sophomore in high school, Andrew Magie, and we had a large group of his high school friends there to cheer him on. We also had supportive adults from the north and south county communities there to support the student and the SLOWiNDS orchestra.
I go here often. I attend the San Luis Obispo Symphony concerts and other events. It is a very nice place to hear good music!
The San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Center located on the Cal Poly campus is a first class venue which has attracted many well-known performers to our little town. We take advantage of performances offered here ourselves and also take our school students to the daytime performances offered here to expose them to the world of performance art.
OK, lets get this out of the way first - the prices can be rather high for the bigger shows (I paid $90 a seat to see William Shatner), but at least they now include parking in the price which helps a little. That said, it's hard to find fault with anything else related to the PAC. Except maybe the camera police who spring out to ambush you if they even *think* you might be getting your iPhone into position to snap a few off. They are polite but merciless, darn them. Otherwise a nearly perfect experience and highly recommended.
This is a very nice place for events. It is comfortable, clean and lots of space. Great architecture, parking lot is very organized and close to the theater.
