tehachapi heritage league

This is a lovely little museum and a quiet space to relax after running around the town. We enjoyed the information shared as well as the ambiance.

The Railroad Museum is on the main street of Tehachapi and is well worth the visit, but this museum is up on the side street and has the history of the town, not the railroad. This lovely building was put up in the Art Decco style and is a delight. The displays are not large, but are very professionally put together. You can see some old farm tools, some clothing displays, and learn a great deal about the native American folks who were in this area. The bathrooms were wonderfully clean and nice. We were there just about an hour (which was enough) and enjoyed it thoroughly.
