A great steak sandwich and fries. Not low calorie but a great fun place to have lunch then walk around a historical Chinese town with lots of history. The peanut butter on toast is the best! Good outing close to Sacramento to see the Delta.

A real old fashioned, wooden floor type saloon with food. Fried steak and lost everything is fried. Old town bar that is friendly to all and can be crowded and loud! Not for the faint of heart. Belly up to the bar and don't trip over anyone.

Here is Al the Wop's, the great dive that it used to be. It is unpretentious and you should be the same. Regular folks having a good time serving you and they also expect the same. If you are a snot, don't expect them to be friendly. This is very good food, cheap! have the lunch for dinner and you don't get too much food. Have the garlic fries though if your taste buds got past elementary school. We had New Yorks @ $13.50 including a tasty Romaine, chick pea, kidney bean carrot salad with 1000 island (your only choice) salad. 1 order of garlic fries will be enough for the table. Excellent Cosmos are $4.25. Spend some time in the town looking around and remember, this ain't Maxim's or Denny's, it's Al the Wop's

This is a place to visit and enjoy. Do not expect fancy cuisine, but do expect an unique experience and fun time. The food is good. I had the burger and fries. Enjoy the ambiance and clientele as well as the walk down an historic small town that seems to literally lean to the right.

Researching Locke prior to ur visit- for some reason I got that Al's was the place to eat-MISTAKE!!!!-my $10 fish and chips was breaded maybe frozen fish pieces...my grandson's $10 burger on a bed of potato chips-and my granddaughters "white" pasta-overly garlicky-unfriendly waitress....gosh...best part truly was asking where the restroom was..and being told under the ostrich in the bar....too bad I was with kids- if we'd had a few beers prob would not have felt ripped off in the expereince....

Went for lunch. Friendly but wound up with band aid in salad. OOPS - but staff didn't seem to care. Wont go there again

Al the Wops is the place to visit! If you are in or around Locke, you must try this place out. As the other reviewer stated, you can take a real dollar bill, put a pin through it, then use a silver dollar they provide as a weight, and take your luck to sticking the pinned dollar bill in their high ceiling! and the p.b and steak sandwhiches are unique and really good! Just a sweet dig!
