We are glad you had a great time. Just to clarify our tastings our 6 wine/mead for free and $5.00 for 12 wine/mead and you keep the glass.
My family has attended the Mead Fest for three years in a row and it feels like home when we go. Dwight and Jean love what they do and they love people and it is clear when you visit their winery. Whether it is a festival or regular day of the week you are going to find a pleasant experience here. Oh, the mead...it is awesome and the flavors...oh my...delicious!!
We are glad you had a great time here with your friends. Looking forward to seeing you again.
Our wine tasting policy is 6 wines for free -- up to 12 wines for $ 5.00 and you keep the glass. We are dog friendly and Cocoa our Chocolate Labs loves to play. You are always welcomed to bring a picnic and we do have BBQ grills available also.
This winery is a great place to sample some delicious wines made in the area. They have a variety of choices to sample including mead (wine made from honey) and a spicy jalepeno wine. A beautiful rural setting and short drive from Springfield make this trip a must for anyone looking for a quick fun afternoon outing. They also have picnic events and musicians. They are also part of the Missouri Wine Trail Program. This was the first winery I had ever visited and now I go out of my way to find and visit other wineries in Missouri!
This past Sunday was our first visit to 7'Cs. When we first arrived we enjoyed a wine tasting. The owners are wonderful and spend time with you to help you find the best wine for you. There are several made from honey! There was a band playing in the afternoon and several from our group danced...There is not much shade, but they have set up a few tents whith tables and chairs. We were able to sit under the coverage patio area. You can bring your own picnic lunch or food to BBQ. They have grills, and they will start the grill for you. It was a nice relaxing day with friends. We enjoyed their unique wine, from sweet to dry.
The wines are of good quality and reasonably priced. This winery has a few different wines you don't usually see and the taste is very good. We took a few bottles back to New York to enjoy at home. The owner and his wife are very pleasent people and devoted to their wine making. I put the address into the G.P.S. and it took me to the wrong address. A nice ride down a dirt road. I retraced my steps and saw a sign that pointed the way to go once we were close to Walnut Grove. This was worth the wrong info from the G.P.S.
