Although I have never played a round of golf at this course, it looks to be very nice. I come more for the driving range. It has automatic tees so just pour in the golf balls and whack away. The driving range is popular in the evening but there are plenty of tee boxes to hit out of. Plus it is well lit at night. This is our go to driving range.
The course is very nice. Not too challenging. Well maintained. Modern driving range with automatic tees. The ppro shop is immense. Plus they allow you to check out clubs and go test them on the range which takes away a lot of the guess work on the purchases.
2 golf courses, one historic Allister McKensie design. Unbelievalbe golf shoe variety in ProShop building. Separate building with extensive golf gear, clothing, and gifts. Terrific lighted driving range.
Nice course! Was quite impressed. It was slow on Saturday afternoon but not terrible. Nice public course. The Morton Golf shop on site is incredible!
If you are a beginning golfer there are very inexpensive lessons for you to try golf with group lessons. Want to improve your game? Then there are private lessons with golf professionals for you. Want to play and need playing partners? There are golf clubs that play weekly that you can join. There is a women's group that plays 9-holes on the Arcade Creek course. Another group of women play 18-holes weekly on the Mackenzie course on Tuesdays. The driving range is open daily. Another great amenity is a 3-hole Academy course where you can rent a hole for an hour to practice bunker shots, approach shots, and putting. The newest addition is foot golf!
Our group of 9 played footgolf here. What a blast! Staff were very nice explaining the inns and outs. And the game itself was lots of fun. Bring your own soccer ball to save on the $3.00 rental fee. We got a cart mostly to lug our purses, phones and jackets around but a cart's not really needed. The course is 18 "holes" but they are packed into just 9 holes of golf. So some of the longer golf holes are broken into 3 footgolf holes. It takes about 2 1/2 hours. Great outdoor activity with family or friends. And you don't have to know how to play golf or soccer, or need to kick very well. I can't kick worth beans but had a great time.
We golfed 18 holes here on a Sunday. It is s nice course. It was busy and we had to play fast. I like to order lunch and swing in to pick it up at the 9th hole. Can't do that here. The layout does not bring you into the clubhouse at the 9 th hole. At least the 18 we played doesnt. You would have to wait and eat after a round. It was a good day. Very enjoyable.but bring snacks or wave down the cart girl, who was very available.
Whether you want to play 9 or 18 holes or buy the latest in golf equipment or apparel, this is the place to go. Arcade Creek Course can be played as 9 holes, front or back, or as 18. Challenging holes but a slightly funky in comparison to the Alistair Mckenzie couse next door. But the lower price makes it worth it.The McKenzie course is one of the finest public courses in the area. It has 5 par fives and 5 par threes. Not the easiest course but very fair.Great practice facility. The driving range is on mats, but it has automatic tees at three levels. Just dump in your bucket of balls, it will tee up. Hit it and the next ball pops up. Very cool. Multiple putting greens and chipping areas. The Golf Super Shop is one of the largest golf stores in the country. It host a huge golf expo every spring. If they make it for golf, they carry it.Youu can try out any club on the driving range. They will give you a small bucket of ball when you leave you I.D.Their prices are very comparible and their employees know what they are talking about.
