这家酒庄的酒并不是最知名的,但是在周末确是人流最多的酒庄。因为他家可以在户外野餐,排队买烧烤的长龙,商店里排队买酒的人。逛酒庄吃野餐享受加州阳光。
This winery is perfect for the casual visitor. Beautiful views, perfect picnic location, and a great deli/grocery for your picnic snacks. I appreciated that the wine tasting was cheaper than other locations and that we didn't have to make a reservation in order to enjoy this experience. The grounds are absolutely stunning- definitely take some time to walk around the buildings and soak in the atmosphere. The wines we tasted were wonderful. The staff was able to answer our questions and guide us to wines that we really liked.
Very fun and good wines. Great flexible tasting options for two, which makes very affordable. There is a picnic area that is fun if you buy food at the shop. On Sat they cook BBQ outside and it's fun
I loved this winery. Even though I had a small wedding party and we were very late, the tour guide was very helpful. The tour was wonderful and the lunch was great. Everyone made sure the details were taken care of for me, due to this being a destination wedding. My cake arrived and was wonderfully presented! The wines are ok, but the deli food and staff are fantastic!
V. Sattui was recommended to us by the staff at our hotel since we were going to be in the area & would be looking for a lunch spot. The grounds are a great spot to have a picnic & we had gorgeous weather where we could do just that! We were pleased that they offer bbq on the lawn on the weekends and we were able to enjoy it. Their tri-tip was perfectly cooked! The deli had a great selection of picnic items and cheeses. We only tried the Rose and enjoyed that on the lawn with our meal. If you're trying the weekend bbq, make sure you get there early because at the start time of 11:30am, it was already busy!
We visit over a dozen Napa/Sonoma wineries each year and my expectations for this winery were modest, and some other winery guides seemed a bit dismissive too. When we arrived the picnic area was jumping and the tasting room/deli was a madhouse. If we had not booked the Geek Tour already, I think we would have fled. Brian gave us our tour, immediately moving us to a vineyard where at was quiet and after that to a nice peaceful private tasting room. We do know about wine-making, but Brian certainly added to our knowledge of Sattui, their particular grapes and process, and a lot about how the Napa wine business works. They have some superb wines, a number of single vineyard wines, dessert wines, etc. They have a lot of small production wines and only sell direct to consumers. I don't actually know how they do it, but they seem to be thriving. Anyhow, they had some very lovely wines that were also well-priced. As for a visit, if you don't mind crowds and are out for a day, stop in for a tasting and get some food there and have a picnic. They have really nice food. If you are a wine person, I would recommend booking a tour and tasting because I think the big tasting room might drive you nuts.
We go to buy the fresh Italian style salads and cold meats to take home. The cheese selection is good. It is a bit pricey for take away foods e.g. a very small bunch of grapes was $3.00! The picnic area is right on the road; so find a spot and enjoy an Italian picnic.
Visited a while back and loved the wine. Tried to order a couple bottles online for my wedding and it was a whole different story. After 3 weeks of my order not being able to ship due to weather, I contacted them today since it is finally going to be well above freezing for the next week. They said the only way they can ship my order now is if I waive liability for any damaged wine. Ok? Otherwise they don't know when it will ship. Odie the shipping manager and the lady I spoke to on the phone were rude and could care less about customer service. I ended up asking for a refund. Used to recommend this place to anyone going to Napa, but will now tell people to steer clear.
Not only was the wine delightful, the deli was superb, and a lovely picnic area surrounds the tasting room. We visited with family, including small children who lived the picnic food purchased at the deli and ran around outside with the designated driver, while the other adults tasted. Children are welcomed inside, but they loved the running room.
Lets face it. There are a lot of good wineries in Napa. This is another one. It was better than I thought though! The wine is very good and the people are al very friendly. The thing that sets this winery apart is the fact that they have a nice market and deli, with good meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads, pastas and desserts. Come here for lunch and then do a tasting. There are picnic tables all over the grounds as well.
There was a bit of traffic as one can expect on a weekend with glorious weather. But still made it in good time. V. Sattui Winery had outoor sitting which was a perfect match for the weekend weather. Good variety of food choices.
This is one of my most favorite places on earth. You can have a picnic in the beautiful picnic area. The deli is amazing, a little pricey but well worth it. Try the perediseo wine in the tasting room and you will but a bottle for sure.
We visited V Sattui with a group of friends and did a tasting right away. The person helping us with our tasting was not overly friendly or knowledgeable, but the wine was great and the atmosphere is good. Definitely try the Angelica...or as it was described to us, "smells like brandy, tastes like candy." We went home with 3 bottles. There are also free cheese tastings, and you can try bread and different olive oils. There are lots of souvenirs, but most are overpriced. After your tasting, go over and check out the cellar.
This is a great place to stop and have lunch, but there were way too many people there for our taste and the wines were ok to good, but didn't think they compare to some of the other places we visited.
Since I've never visited another winery, it's hard to give a true review since I have nothing to compare it to, but this one did seem nice. The grounds were very nice and the tasting room seemed okay. There were lots of choices and non alcohol available for purchase. There were lots of tables for a picnic, but I think someone may have reserved the area since it was full. We went here because they are the only one who sells a certain wine my son wanted.
