Whether you are a fan of the Model T or just a car enthusiast in general, this museum is definitely well worth taking the time to stop in and see! The tour, facts, and visuals used in the displays compliment the beautifully restored cars on display, we will definitely be making a stop there on our next trip. Thanks again for the great tour!
The Model T Museum tour guide was very well versed on the history of the vehicles that are displayed. The displays are very interesting and well worth stopping to see.
Thanks for the kind words Greg & Sherri hope to see you again
Whether you know and love the Model T Ford and its history, or even cars in general, this little museum is a treat! The cars, trucks, tractors, etc., are surrounded by display items that place them in context. The staff are wonderful. the facility is bright and cheery and it was definitely a wonderful find! They also have an outstanding selection of books and souvenirs available.
This is a great little museum crammed full of Model T Fords. The admission is a real bargain. Anybody who likes old cars will appreciate this place for sure.
Thanks for the kind words Danny glad I could make your visit a memorable one.

This if the National Model T Ford Museum located in the Historic Depot District of Richmond, IN where car, music and history all combine to bring visitor back to the gala years of yesterday. The Model T Museum is filled with the history of Ford Motor company with a collection of many rare vintage autos and the first airplane using a Ford Model T engine. For a delightful tour with a docent with knowledge to bring to life the life and history of Henry Ford's Model T vision and production please visit the site in Richmond, IN.
Justin (the young guy) was a great tour guide! One of the cars has a trip agenda handwritten by the men who took the car all across the US. Be sure to read it. Very Interesting, takes you back in time. Some great books and collectibles to buy as gifts or add to your own collection.
We happened on this great little museum by chance today while visiting the area. There was a very nice collection of various versions and years of the Model T. We were given a guided tour by the young guy working there. He made the tour entertaining and informative. He really seemed to know a lot about the cars and their histories and always had reference material handy if he needed to look anything up. We were not rushed through the tour in any way and he was willing and able to answer any questions we had.We will definitely be back to bring other people to this gem!
I'm not a "car guy" but this is neat. The NATIONAL model T museum. Cars, trucks and a Model T engined areoplane>
Well worth stopping by. Only $3. Employees more than willing to chat about the cars. About 10 very nice examples on display. Great gift shop with quality merchandise.
A block up from the architecturally historic railroad depot district of Richmond, Indiana is the newly relocated Model T Museum. It’s not immense by some museum standards, but it certainly makes excellent use of the space it has. Under roof is an outstanding collection of early twentieth century vehicles including a 1909 touring car, a 1923 English-built town car, a 1925 fire truck and a 1931 Pietenpol airplane with a Model T engine. Also on premises is a well-stocked gift shop with a variety of books, repair and restoration manuals, souvenirs and apparel, postcards and other items geared to Model T aficionados. Some museums suffer from curatorial cramming. There are simply too many exhibits. Visual migraines can result. Not so with the Model T Museum. It uses space wisely, positioning the vehicles at various angles to avoid parking lot clutter and allowing visitors to meander in an around the cars. There are no velvet ropes cordoning off “don’t touch” areas. There are some real beauties in the collections to be sure. Restoration of the highest caliber. The color palette of various lustrous paint finishes is most pleasing to the eye. The ability to eyeball motoring accoutrements, standard features of the vehicles, or the innards of engines “up close and personal” makes a visit very satisfying. The young man who was sole docent for the museum (wearing additional hats also for admissions, tour guide and souvenir sales) was well spoken, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about showing the museum’s treasures to visitors. The museum and the Ford legacy was well served by his presentation.Next time you’re driving through the I-70 corridor in Wayne County, include the Model T Museum as part of your tour of the area. The visit is a short duration of time that will leave you with a lasting impression of the flowering of the motoring age and the love of travel.
We ran in and paid a couple bucks but the gentlemen in their were so friendly it was worth it! The kids probably didn't learn much but it was neat to see,
A great attraction. Inside are about a dozen Model T Fords and even a Model N Ford. They rotate inventory, during our last visit they had Model Ts including an ambulance, snow mobile, and a fishing truck. Inside is even a Ford airplane. Lots of diversity. For a couple bucks, worth the stop, not too far off I-70. Plus there are lots of other neat nearby shops and restaurants in the depot district.
