If you are in the Kansas City, Kansas or Kansas City, Missouri area and have a love of churches as I do, you must pay a visit to the Cathedral of St. Peter. This stone edifice is what you feel a cathedral in Kansas should be like. It is the Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. The stained glass is exceptional and there are two large stained glass windows near the altar that are simply magnificent. They are of Christ the King and of the Virgin Mary. Above the altar are smaller stained glass windows that are extraordinary. Also the Stations of the Cross are beautiful pieces of art work. Do take the time to visit this Cathedral to take in the stained glass! For some reason I do not see where I can add my pictures.
