hess field / robbins trail park

Appropriate for walking, jogging, and biking. Convenient but country setting. Located alongside the bottom of a mountain. Ball fields, skateboarding park, restrooms.

Discovered this by accident. It's a very nice wooded trail that almost makes you forget that it parallels the main highway. I needed a little soul-cleansing that day and this was just the ticket.

Looking for a great trail to run, walk or bike...this is it! Fun trail with some elevation...about 3 miles.

Living in Danville, I often go on runs around town. However, running on the streets can be dangerous, and for a change of scenery I love running on Robbins Trail. It's so beautiful, and shaded. The field is always well taken care of, and there is now a small skating park which is pretty cool. If you want to exercise, Hess Field is a lovely place to go.
