Look no further for classes offering talented programs. Truly a hidden treasure and was once our library in Charlevoix, but what I call a museum filled with amazing art along with a facility that host so many programs. Go check out the web site for info. My son just took drum lessons with Alex and its the real deal!
The gallery is showing outsider art now and it is a great show. Better than I ever expected. The docent was a bit chatty but nice. And devoted to the place.
The highlight of this place was the Todd Warner collection of sculptures, jewelry and art installations. His sense of whimsy and humor along with his talent and originality had us oohing and aahing. Although the prices in this place are a bit steep.
We stopped here at my mom's advice. We spent a few minutes in the gallery and a few in the gift shop. Beautiful artwork for sale. But very limited.
Visit them every time we are in town to attend all their many programs most of which are free. Have visited the in all four seasons for different venues. Joined as a means to further support them even though we live 500 miles away.
They have special exhibits throughout the summer that are interesting. The employee working is always very nice and knowledgeable about the art.
The Circle of Arts is amazing, and has put together a show that includes fine art from Museums in SW Michigan, as well as art from Fine Masters (Renoir!) from a well-known gallery - the exhibit is through June. They are always working to bring good things into town. Please go see this wonderful place.
The CCA is a volunteer organization formed to encourage all of the arts in the Charlevoix area. It features local artists and offers a gift shop. The Docents are well versed and helpful. The CCA offers summer camps for children and a Plein Aire art group that encourages visitor participation. The Photography club offers classes and puts on a first class Photography Show each year. It is on Clinton Street which is at Charlevoix's one traffic light.
