great little shops, close to wineries, great places to eat. Its a fun place to take visitors to our area. parking can be tight and M22 can be a drag to drive with traffic

Suttons Bay is so wonderful. My family and I have been going to 45th Parallel for years. I really enjoy their egg, cheese & turkey sausage sandwich. Proportions are pretty big - so unless you have a HUNGRY appetite, plan on sharing - especially with the pancakes! Great access to the water with a full-equipped park. I love spending time there, hanging out, reading, or going swimming (or swinging!). Ice Cream Factory is great - Coconut Almond Delight is delightful, until I found out I couldn't eat diary! Little Bee's Italian Ice, by Happy Women :) and the art galleries in town is delightful. They make their homemade italian ice right on spot and it's the BEST I have ever had! They also make homemade gelato. They have so many yummy flavors to choose from, I usually ask for a little of all. And I LOVE visiting the art galleries in town. There's a photography place right on the main street and tucked in the back, in a red house, there's a beautiful jewelry place - the owner makes it all right there and he can fix anything and clean it too! Absolutely gorgeous jewelry! And he is such a sweet man! There is also a woman who can knit anything...lots of wool - purses, hats, gloves, etc. very vibrant and beautiful. There are so many great places to visit in SB! If you're looking for something from the trip, definitely check out BayWear and some pretty unique things in LimaBean - great for teenagers and up, looking for something unique to show off to friends from school at home. There is also a really cool Science and Nature store, right next to each other...coolest things inside. Shop owners have a love for what they do and where they live - and it shows! Such a wonderful place to spend the day and visit. Everything you ever need is right there! (B&B, dining, shopping, public restrooms, the Bay, Hansen's grocery store, etc.)

Artsy village on the Bay. It's a bit out of the way, but worth the drive. Many art shops with unusual pieces. Good for finding "just the right thing".

Shhhhh! Don't tell anybody about how cute and picturesque Sutton's Bay is. And WE drove thru there in JANUARY!!! We often drive around areas where we vacation (in this case, Traverse City), and try to find interesting and scenic places. The Drive ALONE was a satisfying use of our time, and we could easily imagine ourselves staying in Sutton's Bay for a lovely while. Beautiful even in the Off-Season.

We often wander around Suttons Bay when we stay at Black Star Farms, which is right down the road a bit. We've eaten at several of the restaurants, always with good results, and have visited most of the shops. There is a great shop that sells outdoor stuff for your garden. I think we've probably bought 4-5 cat related things from there over the years, including a cool cat thermometer. It doesn't keep a very accurate temperature, but it sure looks cool. Suttons Bay is worth a stop, especially if you are going to be wine tasting on Leelanau anyway.

What a wonderful experience - park your car and walk around visiting all the small independent shops...awesome stories from the owners. We ate at Boone's Prime Time...star was fun and food was good.

Nothing in the world is a beautiful as norther MI in the summer/Fall. Incredible views and color. Suttons Bay is a must on the circle tour and is so wonderful. A must for anybody who is visiting Mi.

Suttons Bay is your typical, little up-north town with unique gift shops and restaurants. Allow an hour to walk and browse, before heading to the next winery on the trail.

Great place to take a walk down the main street and visit the many small shoppes. Nice little restaurants to have a meal.

Sutton Bay has everything places to eat, drink and of course the view of the water is wonderful but the homes by the water is outstanding! Unique stores and sights.

Shopping heaven. Stores are original and some feature local crafts and food. Love Bahles and the Front Porch (kitchen and home goods). Worth a trip up from a Traverse City.

Just the drive up there is half the fun. It's beautiful, cute, little, artsy town. (Downside: the public restroom was never open, so the only place to use is the Public Library--when it's open!)

We had a wonderful time, such a great downtown with fantastic shops! Make sure and check the alley spaces too they have things tucked in them and you won't want to miss a thing.Being near the water is always a good thing. Really nice way to spend a day. Loved it.
