Played this course and left my bushnell range finder in the cart/buggy. It was definitely there as I used it on the last hole. When I called the pro shop about it. Guess what. They didn't find it. Thought the staff would be more honest and have more integrety. My fault for leaving it in the buggy but they should at least be honest. Won't be going there again.
The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas and they had plenty of employees working. Very professional and courteous. However, the mashed potatoes were definitely from a box. The tables were set up with coffee cups and cream/ sugar but no one ever walked around to offer or serve coffee. I had to go to the bar and ask for a carafe for our table. When I returned to my table I noticed they removed some of the cups so I again had to go to the bar and ask for additional cups. I know not everyone drinks coffee, but really, why would you have the service set up on the tables?
I was one of the few happy ones that heard the golf course had been sold to the City of Dearborn as its previous owners had let it slip into disrepair and poor management. Immediately I noticed new range mats, range balls and that was all in the first 5 minutes of my arrival. Course looked better too, green and lush. Whats more the greens were in terrific shape! They always roll true...The staff was friendly and helpful while I was there.
We planned our wedding over 18 months with three different managers at the banquet center (one had been there for a decade and moved on, the next was a temporary fill, and finally Kathy is the permanent manager). Everything went perfectly on our big day! We were able to use the gazebo spot outside for our ceremony, where staff shuttled guests to/from via golf cart. Then we moved to the patio area next to the banquet hall for the cocktail hour, which we covered with a tent rental. We moved indoors for the reception, which was elegant and intimate even with a crowd of 140. Open feel, many windows, beautiful scenery, very clean. Only improvements suggested are to replace the carpet and update the bathrooms. Guests were happy and impressed, bride and groom were in love :)
DO NOT GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT ANY BUSINESS.. DO NOT BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES. For the past 8 years I have been purchasing golf gift certificates for my parents and friends. They come to Mystic each summer for golf and use their Christmas gift. Now they will not honor them anymore. We are stuck with 300.00 in gift certificates. What a RIP OFF. Go golf at Kensington, St. John's, Tyrone Hills and a plethora of others before going here.
I used to love this track but the staff ruined the round the pace was horrible and then on the back nine at the 4th hole the ranger tells us in 20 min that we will be invaded by Asians for a outing so pretty much we need to get 5 holes done in 20 min as if our money isn't good enough if they would've told me they were having a outing I would have simply went somewhere else I only get 1 day off a week to golf I drove a hour to get there and I Will never go back period
Ok..start with a nicely layed out chipping green with green side practice bunkers, very very nice. The practice green is nice in areas but about 30% of the practice green is not conditions and underlayings consistant with the course greens, but its ok for practice. The range is a plus but most of the season your are required to hit from mats. The 27 hole course that is well layed out and can from time to time be a bit challenging. Just like all golf, it is the most enjoyable playing with others, friends & family which I do and makes this course one of my favs.Make no mistake, this is not a country club, so when it comes to the food, snack & beverages the bar is not so high. With that being said, I find most of the food & snacks better than the average course around town. The beverage pricing is moderate and well within line of any establishment around. Enjoy, and I'll see you at the 19th hole. Dave Clark
Only ate there one after golf, based on a neighbor's recommendation. We live quite close and thought it would be wonderful after hearing several folks recommend it. We did not find it to be all that we expected and have never returned, so we could be the ones mistaken.
Awesome course. I have wanted to play this course for a while and finally got the chance this summer. The Lakes 9, was very challenging. I will be back.
Attended a wedding on the greens; fun to ride the golf carts to the wedding site. Food was good; service for drinks was bad - the bride's parents tables were served, but we only got drinks from a waiter once (with tip, and asked them to come back, but they never need). Long line at the bar!! Once, a waiter had a tray of beer and red wine to appease the long line, but this needed to happen more often! Also, the bridal table set-up was very shaky (literally) and the wood floor was tacky (looked awful, just planks of plywood with side skirts).
27 holes of good golf with GPS on all carts. OK food
