The second floor working artist studio and gallery offers a diverse selection of paintings, photographs, pottery, iron work ,jewelry and unique decorative accents. Everything in the gallery is hand crafted by local artists and all at very affordable prices. You can find Patty, Moo and Marina, the galleries resident rescue dogs, in attendance Friday, Saturday and Sunday. She is welcoming, fun and knowledgeable. Whether you are in the market for art, looking for a unique gift or just browsing to see what the local art scene in Culpeper is offering, The Loft is worth the visit. Don't let the word "gallery" intimidate you. I found a beautiful hand made necklace for $28. The Loft can help you up your gift giving from the mundane to the unique.

I bought several paintings, pillows and jewelry at The Loft. The owner, Patty, is charming, gracious and helpful. The choices and reasonable prices make the loft a great place to shop. Worth making a special trip to go there.

Visiting Culpeper, VA soon? I just did – AND discovered a unique art gallery with a great selection of local art made by Culpeper artists and sculptors and other Virginian craftspeople. You need to walk up the stairs to reach The Loft art gallery – but it is truly worth the effort. The owner is a talented artist herself and very knowledgeable. She helped me to choose the perfect gift for my husband. When I say “perfect gift” I mean I used his credit card and bought something I liked. This art gallery and gift store is “pet friendly” and the owner even takes her dog(s) to work. I have added this art gallery and gift store to my list of places to return when I’m looking for something really special.

Davis Street is enjoyable - make the effort to walk UP the stairs to 107-B East Davis Street. Enchanting artist and gift store environment. There is a very large selection of unique and creative hand-made items. We were immediately greeted by the owner and her dog(s). We also received a short tour of this shop and enjoyed our shopping trip. It's good to see that most of the older buildings have been maintained for residents and visitors alike. We will return to The Loft again!
