There are two courses in Big Spring and this public course is definitely the most interesting and the best value. I was disappointed in the country club course as it was in poor condition especially for a private course. Very dry. The public course was actually in better condition and more interesting to play. It's rolling hills and overall layout make it an interesting course particularly for its age in design. It's the course to play if you don't want to drive to Midland.

Loved golfing in Big Spring, The little prairie dogs where quite entertaining. Definitely will play there again.Just have to watch out for some nasty little rough areas.

Like the city of Big Spring, the golf course near the state park, has gentle slopes. A nice change from many flat courses you see in West Texas.Weekday greens fees are $18, and they offer a twilight discount of 50%. In the summertime, you can golf for $9 after 4 p.m.You can rent a cart for as little as $12.50 on nine holes.There's a pro shop and snack bar, too.Nice way to spend a summer/weekend afternoon.
