welton falls

It was a nice snowshoe trail with lots of moose sign. The gorge was beautiful and ice covered. We crossed over under the falls and hiked an unbroken trail behind it, too, which was a neat experience.

Hiked from the AMC cardigan lodge to Welton Falls via the Manning Trail. It was not a super challenging hike but we were still breaking a sweat and it was a good trail to take the dog on. Walked for maybe an hour before reaching the waterfalls and we were very pleased. It's a beautiful waterfall and there are numerous spots to get a great view and take pictures. The trail leads right down to a nice spot where you could set up a picnic or swim.

Very manageable 3ish mile hike to some incredible falls, kind of like a little Flume but without the throngs of people. Our 5 year old accomplished it easily. Just the thing after a much brisker hike up Cardigan the day before. Took us just about 2 hours, with lots of pictures and things along the way.

Welton falls is off the beaten path. GPS will get you close but locals can help you to find the way.

This is an amazingly beautiful little waterfall with plenty of outcroppings to jump off. I've been multiple times on the weekend and it's never really busy (maybe less than 5 people). So it's well worth the short hike to get here. Google online how to access the waterfall, but it should be accessible via the Manning Trail.

Mooie tocht, uur heen, uur terug, niet te moeilijk, maar zeker ook niet saai. Veel water, dus goed schoeisel aanbevolen.
