The Casino ballroom has the third most act offerings in the country, surprising, but true. Whatever your tastes sooner or later you'll probably find something that will appeal to you.
It is intimate enough to feel like the musicians are playing a gig just for you and your large group of friends. The staff are very friendly and seem to genuinely like working there. I will be looking for 2015 lineup and plan another weekend getaway next year!
The sound is not great in all spots. They pack people in like cattle. Not very many seats. Not enough bathroom space. If you find a seat dont move.
We arrived not to long after the doors opened and found a seat along the wall, where they had bar stools and a wooden bar. Standing on the floor looked a little sketchy, glad we arrived early to get a seat. We had a great time, enjoyed the band immensely! Well worth the money we paid for GA.
Visited this casino to see Collective Soul.Tickets were easy to get, I was buzzed in to purchase. Not a heavy band and brought a mature crowd. The Ballroom was 3/4 full and we were close to stage. General admission (no seating, just standing).A plastic band was placed on my right arm when entering.Dirty place.People stunk of Marijuana as they passed me, so some smoking was going on somewhere.Floor was really sticky with beer, I mean I had to use muscle to lift my leg up.Only one beer was thrown in the air and I got to taste a little. There were a couple of bone heads swinging their heads around and jumping up and down throughout the opening band and the beginning of Collective Soul. These guys were on something and were annoying a lot of people. Bouncers warned them and in my opinion took too long to do something about it. Someone complained and they were tossed out. Always one group.I personally don't like the Hampton Casino and Ballroom. Its dirty. This is the second time I had visited and this was the first with general admission.Do yourself a favor, don't force your way to front, watching from back, you see just as much. I hate GA for this simple reason. I have been waiting for all this time then finally when band comes on, people shove in front and behind.Unless it is something I really want to see, I wont go back. When people were dancing, the floor was shaking up and down. Was told afterwards its a dangerous place for safety. Old wooden floors. All in all, I got to see a band I liked and they were great. I hated the cover band.
This is by far our favorite venue. We have sat at the tables with waited service and also stood on the floor and used the bar service. Both times the concert experiences were amazing. The staff is always so nice and the venue is so nicely organized. The staff do a great job of keeping lingering people off the carpeted walkway so you can always move about the venue to the bar and/or bathroom. The venue is smaller than an arena type show so that anywhere you end up in the entire place has a perfect view of the entertainment. I have never found a bad spot in this place! Love it and cannot wait to hear next year's lineup!
I've seen at least 5 shows here and each one has been a great expeirence! Great view from anywhere, great sound, personal feel and most importantly, great drink prices for a concert place!
Saw Tower of Power on 09/27. Excellent sound, sightlines, barprices, extremely helpful staff for finding your seat. And... theyhave a MIRRORBALL!
We have been here many times for a quick snack and have never had a bad meal. It's like a mc donald's but with better food..
Creepy vibe. Strange guys hang out front. Makes you want to walk by as quickly as possible. Would not recommend.
We had a good time here and have in the past. My only negative comment is in regards to the Sky Box seating. When we arrived, there were "squatters", it was uncomfortable, then they moved into another box. No one ever checked our wrist bands and we had people taking up the entire front of the box with no wrist bands evident; wish that security had come up to check to make sure that everyone that was there, was supposed to be there.
Went again to see KC and the Sunshine Band. Venue is nice but for a show like KC should open up the seating to a dance floor. No one sits anyway. Drinks are priced a bit steep but not too too bad. Good place to see a show. Staff is friendly and sound is usually good.
Love this venue and we danced all night. Fantastic! Saw YES there in July and they were incredible too. There are various bands all summer.
You need to purchase seats in the gold sections. Sitting at the tables can be a problem as you are packed in. Within the gold sections you sit in comfortable chairs facing the stage. Drink holders and waitress service. We saw KC and the Sunshine Band and the show was fantastic!
I cannot believe the good reviews. This was the worst concert experience I have ever had. We were here for Alanis Morissette "Intimate & Acoustic". We paid for the reserved seating and were at the tables at the far side opposite the entrance. The view of the stage was pretty good, but that is about the only positive thing I can say. We were packed in so tightly we could not get up without the two people on either side of you getting up and pulling out their chairs. But, the thing that really ruined the experience was the noise from those standing in the back (unreserved tickets). They were talking and laughing throughout the whole concert. They were so loud and rude we could not hear a word that Alanis was saying and it was incredibly loud and distracting when she was playing. We could not enjoy the music. We got up and found 2 seats more in the center, but the noise was still loud and it seemed to get louder as the concert went on. This was anything but "intimate". We paid more for these tickets than we did for great seats in Boston to see Sara Bareilles back in June. What a joke. I would NEVER go back.
