Just like your momma makes. Best apple donuts EVER! Must do on way to beach for fresh fruits and veggies.
This place has exceptionally nice people, and great produce! The donuts that they make are out of this world! I cant wait for the Apple Scrapple Festival! Apple Cider is soon to come!
Stop here for local produce. Been in business for years! A Bridgeville tradition. Prices might be a little high, but isn't everything. Check out the Orchard Point across from here.
Apples and cider in the fall; great place for a picnic especially Spring and Fall. These are the things I liked. What did I dislike? Not one thing.
Has been in Bridgeville for years..... an institution..... fresh produce..... great cider...... features local produce
The home made fresh apple cider donuts, apple dumplings, cider and fresh grown seasonal fruits and vegatables available. Nice country style store with wicker baskets and decorations of displays for the vegatables sold. In addition you see the apple cider donuts being made fresh in your view.
This fruit stand is great. So many varieties of apples including my favorites. They also have apple donuts in the mornings if you are there early. They have some jams and jellies too. I usually get the apples, and fruit baskets. I like their bananna chips etc in mini bulk.
Always the freshest produce grown in the back yard . The orchards are the best , great variety .
I just drove by the farm yesterday morning and saw them working. Then I saw them on TV last night. There was a story about them on the news.... they are solar powered now! So all this got me thinking about asparagus. There is nothing like TS Smith's asparagus! They cut it the day you get it and you pay less than the grocery store charges fir stalks that are slimy on the bottom.... I feel so glad to have a farm near me where I can get it that fresh. Come on spring!
My husband and I stopped here during the Apple Scrapple Festival (October 2010). The building looked VERY old and had some real appealing charm. They had a sign out front that said they were giving orchard tours, so we decided we would stop there before leaving town. From the outside it just looks like a big wooden barn with somewhat of a general store appearance to the front. Once up the old wooden steps, you will see that they have a produce/farm market inside. They also have some bagged candies and snacks for sale in addition to fruits & vegetables. I believe they also had a soda cooler on location. In the back of the building (near the restrooms) you could see some of the orchard machinery. Also inside the shop, you could see bakers making FRESH donuts. At the time they also had a refigerated case that contained LOCALLY made scrapple and some jugs of apple cider for sale. Outside on the porch, they had pumpkins for sale. Since it was Apple Scrapple, they had set up a food stand outside & they were cooking scrapple sandwiches. They were also selling baked goods, including the FRESH donuts, and giving out FREE samples of the cider. We did not purchase anything from the farm market, however, we did buy a six pack of their FRESH donuts. These donuts were AMAZING! They were warm and soft. They had a bit of an apple-cinnamon taste to them. The best part was that they were light & NOT greasy! A few days later they were still soft & grease-free! We could not believe that they kept so well & we almost wished that we had bought a dozen instead!! My husband is still talking about them and it has been almost a month since we were there. We will definately be returning to T.S. Smith & Sons next year during the Apple Scrapple Festival!! Hopefully next year we will be able to catch one of the orchard tours too.
