the arvada tavern

I have been here several times and this place is AWESOME! It’s a speakeasy theme with some of the best trained bartenders in Denver. It gets very little recognition from magazines like 5280 because it’s outside of Denver. Just sitting at the bar watching the bartenders make drinks for guests is entertainment in itself! The first time I went I saw people going in and out of the phone booth by front door. I was watching then I saw 3 people go in and not come out. Finally I asked to find out it was the entrance to their upstairs bar. OMG! Did I feel a little embarrassed. Lol. It was a riot! Last night I tried the Mac & Cheese and a drink called the Lavender Greyhound. The food is even better than the cocktails! I have also enjoyed the chicken wings. Excellent as well. The only downfall is they don’t open until 4pm and don’t offer any happy hour food or drink specials. Try this place out, it never disappoints!

I had a wonderful meal at the Arvada Tavern. Despite the "tavern" in the name, it is a full service restaurant with innovative cuisine. Service was excellent. Sat outside in a small sidewalk table area.
