For many years Heritage Square provided a unique entertainment/shopping experience. For the last several years it declined in popularity and recently announced it would be closing this year. its isolated location didn't help.

Interesting place, Unfortunately closing shops and alpine slide at end of 2015. Amusement rides will stay open.Check it out in summer of 2015, before it closes.

Used to come here all the time in the 90s. The staff and businesses were vibrant. you could ride the chairlift, go hiking in the woods, then get a nice lunch and walk around. Coming back years later, most things were closed. I felt exploited and uncomfortable as Mexican worker men stared and leered at us as we walked by. Felt like We were in Juarez, not the good old USA! Someone needs to educate these foreigners in manners, and customs of the American people if they expect to make it here. They could begin by requiring them to speak English, if it is English speaking citizens they expect to serve. Teach them not to undress American women with their eyes, and basic manners.

The alpine slide is super fun and the location is really close to Denver. There's a fast and slow lane for beginners. The slide carts are big and enable people to ride as a tandem. There's also a great shop that takes fun old timey photos.

Heritage Square is a must if you are visiting this area. So many children have Heritage Square as part of their childhood memories. Its a great place for the family to spent a day, especially for children up to 13 years of age. Lots of outdoor entertainment, old style curiosity shops and a marvelous live theatre. The theatre offers matinee, great fun for the kids, and also a dinner theatre for the grown ups in the evening. Don't miss this place. It will be a wonderful family memory for years to come.

I remembered with fondness visiting this charming place as a child. It was such a joy to take my son here with a huge group of my his aunts, uncles and family friends. It is truly a place to enjoy for children and adults of all ages. The alpine slide and the suspended obstacle course can not be missed.

This is a fabulous place to take the kids for a day trip and picnic or just go for the amusement rides for the little ones.

This is a great place for kids 12 and under. It is a clean, family place. You can bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy there. They have lots of fun rides for different age children. We have a ball racing each other on the go-karts. They have bumper boats, paddle boats, a tilt-a-whirl, arcade games, 2 different roller coasters, and putt putt golf to name a few. Our summer isn't complete without a visit to Heritage Square.

Heritage Square is a great family place. They have go-karts, plenty of rides that spin, roller coaster, putt putt golf, old fashion photographs, a train, and arcade games. Bring a picnic lunch. They have a downhill Alpine slide but we did not do that.

I went here for the alpine slides which are a lot of fun, but also really expensive. The rest of the park looks to be deserted shops and some attractions for younger kids. Might be better for families with young kids, but for me it was kind of meh.

Shot a wedding here so I didn't have the opportunity to try any of the attractions. The old west town is really kool and fabulous for shooting weddings :)

We went to visit for a Halloween boo maze. The kids enjoyed the amusement park rides. We walked around the shops. The weather and views were beautiful.

We were greeted by a mostly empty parking lot about 15 minutes prior to opening time on a Saturday. Awesome! We got to park really close! We wandered the streets a bit, found an open toy shop that is going out of business and then headed for the Alpine Slides. While my daughter and I could have ridden them all day, the price wasn't conducive to that, so we headed down to the carnival rides. These were overpriced as well, and had few options. We got the kids each 9 tickets, so three rides. We got those over with and headed out to get lunch. I think in total, we were there about an hour. Not really worth the time, but the kids enjoyed what little we did do!

My wife and I popped into Heritage Square Amusements for a short while to ride the roller coasters (as we are coaster enthusiasts) and have a little look around. The park has a small gravity coaster and another powered roller coaster plus a collection of amusement rides for the younger children. The 'Victorian' buildings and shops were quite interesting to stroll around and the ice creams were lovely in the small parlour, although our overall impression was that we didn't think it would be a place you could spend much more than a couple of hours before getting a bit bored.Happy to have seen it but probably wouldn't go back unless they added another roller coaster.

Went here for a couple of hours just to pass the time while in Golden. The entrance to the park is free so you can stroll around freely. However, the rides have separate fees. The rides mostly are for kids, and not really high-end like the costly theme parks, so do not expect much. The food choices are also quite limited. There are also not much stores to buy souvenirs or trinkets from.Just okay if you have nowhere else to go in Golden or want to have some fun on the rides, then this is an option of places to go to.
