windsor lake

I take my dog running/walking around the lake all the time. We love it. There is even a gated spot for my dog to go swimming, which he loves.

A great walking track around it - awesome summer concerts in the summer time.... the lake is a blast for the grandson to enjoy. When I want to get my walking in - it is my go to spot!

Last summer (2014) my 3 oldest grand-daughters, ages at that time - 7, 6 & 2, had a great time at the Windsor Lake beach and playground! When we first got there, in the early morning, about 10:00 am, there was a lot of algae in the lake and it kind of grossed the girls out, but they got used to it quickly and called it seaweed. Playing in the sand was lots of fun and so was playing in the nearby playground. It's a nice beach.

My husband and I regularly bike ride around Windsor Lake. It is a pleasant 2+ mile ride/walk with plenty of stops along the way for those who prefer to sit and look at the pelicans on the lake or the fish jumping out of the water. The town of Windsor presents concerts at the lake through the summer and there are festivals regularly there too. It is always well attended by the many young families in the area. There is also a beach area, concession stand, and boat rental.

Wonderful spot to spend a beautiful Colorado day. So much to do and great facilities. You are also very close to downtown Windsor, so if you forgot something you are a quick trip to get what you need!

I've walked the Windsor Lake Trail for years. It is a beautiful 2.65 paved trail around a lake that is inhabited by geese, eagles, pelicans, ducks and other water fowl. The fishing must be pretty good because there are always fisher-people on the shoreline. The Town of Windsor works hard to maintain the area and offers trash cans and dog-poop baggies at convenient intervals. Leash laws are enforced and followed by almost everyone.Real public restrooms and a concession stand are open during the late spring to early fall seasons.The wonderful view of the mountains while walking this trail reminds me why I live in this beautiful area.

This is a great place to go Paddle Boarding, quite and calm and just far enough around the lake to make you feel like you had a good workout.

This is a very nice park area with a sandy swim beach, quiet with lots of room to roam. Nice new playgrounds and even a concert series in the summer months. Also a great concreate walkway that goes about 1.2 miles around the lake which is very pretty. Excellent to walk, run, ride bikes etc.

Concerts in the park once a week. Bring a picnic, bring a blanket, bring your dogs n kids. It's a casual, relaxed, fun time for everyone.

We go with the family for the 4th of July every year now. It's not too crowded and it's a decent show.

This community feels like your hometown the moment you move here. It's midwestern in values and has wonderful things to do such as riding around this lake or swimming. The free concerts in the park are a huge perk. YOu will fall in love with Windsor.

Use to be a good goose hunting lake but not anymore

I love going to Windsor Lake because of the great walking/biking trail, amazing pelicans, not-to-crowded beach, and little dog park. There is something for everyone and we were impressed to discover this free entertainment and relaxation in a great town like Windsor.

A well maintained city park and beach in downtown Windsor. Nice walking trail around the lake. Very clean and nice picnic area.
