summit county main library - frisco

We were visiting from out of town and my daughter had homework to finish and I needed to catch up on work. We have found libraries to be very conducive to getting work done. We both used the free wifi to complete our tasks in the very pleasant environment the library provided and enjoyed looking out a window toward the mountains to the east; if only every library could have such a setting! My daughter needed to print a few pages from an email and we were able to do that without any problem ($0.25/page). The librarians were efficient, friendly, and helpful. I also found a paperback book to read that was part of their paperback exchange program. Very nice! Lastly, I noted that they have an energy monitor that can be used by members of the community to check their home energy use. What a great idea! I hope it gets used a lot to help improve eveyone's home energy efficiency. We will be back!

As a visitor I could not get a library card but they showed me a section where they sold paperbacks for $1 and hard covers for $2....you have to love a deal like that.......

Was from out of town and had to take care of some unexpected business that I needed to print out a document and I called ahead and the staff was very helpful. I popped in, used an open computer (4 available) and paid 25 cents per page. Located just outside of downtown Frisco and saw that there are some trails for biking right off the parking lot too. If you need longer use of the computer you just need to reserve it.

Easy internet access, no hoops to jump through. It is located just near the hospital, so any out of towners can pop in and grab a book or use the computers.
