Did my sons birthday here...with a handful of boys...They enjoyed it and were challenged along the way. The safety was a clear priority and the staff was very helpful!
this is fun and definably not dangerous for all you worry people. the strap you up I a harness and away you go!2 thumbs up.
We took our 9th and 10th grade girl scouts on a field trip to the ropes course and they loved it. Still challenging for most of them but the very athletic ones breezed through it. And the best part as an adult was that we breezed through the check in portion of the process. The employees were very nice and helpful.
I came to the mall with my daughter, I wasn't too sure if this would be a good idea for her or even myself. Well I met with one of the representative Ralph L. who was extremely helpful and explained the entire adventure and help to calm down my daughter who prompted us to come and check it out THANK YOU RALPH!!!! I will come back with the rest of my family members who I think would enjoy this. Ralph was also able to give us he best course to tryout in case we didn't want to go too far. Your company needs to have more service assistance like the gentleman who assisted us.Thank you guys!!!!!
My 19 y/o Joseph DiTomasso, thought he was related to the Wallender Family, he was going through the high climbing like a natural, myself being 53, did my best but was scared/ frozen, while looking down the 85 feet seemed like the Grand Canyon.. But all in all my son had a blast he was dancing on the single beams while I was cowering and trying to get across a couple of obstacles. Great day of bowling, video , shopping and eating.. next time I will try to stay with Joe on the high line .. We'll see ..
It was a nice holiday outing. With my 8-yr children, going over Tappan-Zee bridge, we got in the parking of the Mall that were mostly unoccupied before noon. We bought tickets for about $15 for each. As other reviewers write, there seems no time limits of play. You can get out whenever you like. The entry is on the 4th floor level. If you feel too challenging to start with ropewalking on that level, you can go down to the lowest level first, using safe stairs. My 8yr children were excited about it. Enjoy!
My younger kids loved it but it was all over too quickly for my teenage boys - not much of a challenge for them. The young men who were helping the kids were very friendly and safety-conscious. The only one who was less than friendly was the older guy on reception who seemed to be in charge.
Everyone is harnessed in on a track for the course. They do not rush you and they did not seem to time anyone and tell them to get out a specific time. They seemed to have all the time they wanted. We took kids form 8-13 years of age and they really enjoyed everything. They have some obstacles but were safe and secure which the staff demonstrated for us before starting. Obviously if you have a fear of heights you may not find it as enjoyable.
Spent almost 2 hours negotiating 5 levels of obstacles with my 8 yr old daughter. Not too expensive (did a similar but more challenging one in South Carolina that was 2x the price). My daughter was able to do all but two of the obstacles and we both had a blast. Wasn't too crowded especially for a muggy day.
Bottom Line: Fun for all ages. They even have a version for small children that is only a few feet off the ground.Details: We finally tried this out in July after seeing it a few times during our visit to the mall. You have very securely strapped in and given some instruction before entering but once you are in you are free to roam the 4 levels. Obviously the ones higher up are more difficult and scary. My daughter is 10 and although some of the challenges were a bit scary for her, there were plenty of others. I really enjoyed the single short perch on the top level that allowed you to really feel the height and drop. We had a great time!
Palisades climb adventure is so much fun! It really keeps the kids occupied! It's fun for kids young and old! 5 levels of awesome climbing!
I took three teenage boys. We had a blast! A unique kind of adventure. A great way to make memories on a rainy day.
Although it sounds like something SpongeBob and Sandy would try...I watch Nick! And I might fall off. Ha!
Took nine 13 year old girls this weekend for my daughter's birthday (we didn't do an "official" b-day party but I spoke with Kevin who helped me think through timing, logistics, etc. and offered the group discount as long as we had 10 people...which we did since I climbed too!).It was a big success. We did have one girl who tried a few of the lower elements and then decided the whole thing wasn't for her. But the others all proved to be either "mountain goats," scrambling from element to element without a care in the world, or were cautious and meticulous in their approach but worked their way through most of the elements with a determined look on their faces (I was especially proud of the latter group). As others have mentioned, the staff is very pleasant and reassuring. They'll answer any questions and help if you'd like but will otherwise leave you on your own to enjoy the adventure.I really think this place is a boon: unique, convenient and affordable...we'll be back!
Had a feel of the climb during my visit to New York. Located in the heart of the Palisade Mall in West Nyack. It's a lovely attraction, a lovely relief from the intimidating stores and eateries that besiege the entire Mall. But trust me, you got to have the heart for this one. Try it.
