jerry pond

We were invited by the members of the Faith Baptist Church to spend the afternoon at the pond with them. The pond is equipped with a playground, sand volleyball court, fishing pier, boat ramp, grills, picnic tables & changing rooms. I'm not sure where the bathroom facility was--didn't need it. This pond has a loon couple (we saw only one of them that day) and is for smaller watercraft. For instance, it is great for canoeing. Beware of swimming--I saw a leech, so I'd stick to wading, or going out on a water craft. The setting is so peaceful. There are large trees about so there's good shade and the picnic tables are all covered. Children under 12 can fish without a license.

They built a nice, big New playground, picnic tables and bathrooms. It's the nicest playground in the area. We didn't swim but others were and looked like they were having a good time. Beware the grassy water though, at least in the past there were leeches
