These reviews are always the toughest to respond to. I'm sorry you feel this way. In this case I believe there was an emergency at the last minute and you were not allowed to reschedule. Without going into all the details, Crab Apple's cancelation policy is made very clear at the time of reservation. We have a limited number of tickets and lodging to sell and reservations are non refundable and non transferable 60 days before the trip. Crab Apple does not hide this fact and actually reads a small disclosure at the time of payment. I'm sorry you feel misled or mistreated because that was not our intent. Take Care.

What a wonderful review! Thank you so much. I'm glad you and your staff had so much fun. Crab Apple has just as much fun as there guests. That's why we have been in business for 30 years. We know groups have limited time to get away and relax so they need to make the most of the time that they have. Tom, Jim, Carrie and Katie are the best employees and Crab Apple is lucky to have them. Come try the whole river next year and I promise you'll have just as much as fun!

Glad to hear your experience was everything you had hoped for. Crab Apple tries to maintain a safe, professional, but extremely fun atmosphere. A great thing about rafting is no matter how many times you go the river is always a little different. That's the difference between mother nature and an amusement park. It is amazing how the kayakers get such great photos and video. Not all outfitters are able to offer these services because of cost and staffing issue, but Crab Apple always offers both! Thanks for the great comments about your trip on the Kennebec! Mo has guided many a nervous rafter and always gets them down safely. Our guides are great at calming guests down or amping them up! People always worry about the fact that they are scared but it just adds to the fun! We look forward to seeing you this summer.

Twenty years of rafting says it all. Fun, adventure and great customer service have kept Crab Apple a step ahead of the completion since 1983. I'm so glad you finally got a chance to come and stay with us. Some spend a day, some stay a week, but everyone has fun at Crab Apple! Guests often ask if it's ok to come by yourself or if they need to bring a group. All are welcome at Crab Apple and rafting is a great way to make new friends and create memories.
