I really enjoyed listening to the story of the caves, not to mention how beautiful it is. We took the 2 and a half hour tour, it was not to hard' and they give you time to sit and chill for a minute while you get to hear about the cave.

By flash I mean not flashing the passerby but flash photography. We've been to many caves in America, including National Parks and Monuments, and this is the only one so far that prohibits flash photography. And it's not mentioned anywhere online when you look the place up - you learn about it from the tour guide at the beginning of the tour, after you buy the tickets and there is no way out: that's a rude awakening for you. They have pretty good formations, but they're poorly lit: the cave actually mentions that they don't want to over-emphasize them. I would still visit the cave if I knew in advance about no flash, but the trip was almost ruined by this unexpected "welcome".

I took this tour with my 5 and 8 year old daughters. This was their first experience in a cave and it was perfect for them: not too long, not too dangerous, interesting story about the cave's discovery. The girls really enjoyed it and the tour guide was full of information about the cave and very helpful and friendly. There are a lot of steps in one area that seem steep and were wet and slippery the day we were there. Also, one tight squeeze that may be hard for a very large person or someone who is claustrophobic. Admission was included in ticket to Kentucky Down Under, which is an added bonus.

This was nice and suitable for all ages but a very short experience...There were a Lot of steps, not great for someone with knee or back problems. My toddler (2) LOVED this and wanted to go right back in!

A truly great and cooling experience! In the middle of Kentucky Down Adventure Zoo and admission included with that was a great added bonus. Our guide was great and was a very enjoyable experience. Only if you are a six footer caution several low spots and tight squeezes. Great for the kids and kids at heart.

This is a great place to go as a family. If you can avoid going when it is cold, or rainy you will have a much better opportunity to see all the animals. We only had one day, so had to take the semi-cold temps and a bit of rain. Cave is really pretty, and a nice short walk for younger ones. We did our tour with head lamps because they are rewiring the cave itself. Our kids were able to pet kangaroos, see a sheep that was birthed early morning and pet an ostrich. Definitely worth the money on a WARM day, our only disappoint was the absence of some of the other animals because of the cold which the staff did warn us about. Sweet tea is twice the price of all other beverages in the cooler...not sure why. If your worried bring your own and get a drink before you leave your car. :)
