lost valley canoe rental

My family and I just got back from floating upper buffalo river. We used lost valley canoe rental. First thing was the office gave us the wrong direction to where we put in. Than was very rude when we called back to get the right direction. So we barely got there in time to start our float. We arrived at noon, but got into the water at 1:15 due to the traffic trying to get on the river. That was understandable,but we were assured by the guys who helped us off that if we were alittle late it would be ok. We was not warned how rough that was would be and that canoes wasn't a smart idea. Now, I know they can't stop rain. It poured on us so we had to stop serval times to empty the canoes. Yes, we were alittle late. So when we finally arrived at 7:50. There was one guy waiting. Only one! We got home looked at our bill. They charged us a extra $60 cause we were late. When we called and ask them about it. They said they had to pay 3 guys to 9 o'clock waiting on us. That was a bold face lie, and than called my wife a liar. The office woman was very rude with my wife when we informed them that there wasn't 3 people waiting and it was 7:50. Plus we were charged for more than one canoe being late . So it suppoely takes 3 guys to wait on one canoe. We or any of my wives clients will never use lost valley ever again. We should have stayed with buffalo river outfitters.

Bunkhouse has 2sides, sleeps 8 each on bunk beds. Has picnic type table inside with coffee pot. Coin showers very clean. General store is well stocked but did not open til after 9am--we would have liked coffee before then. Canoe and equipment rented was good quality.Used shuttle car service--worked well. The Buffalo River was nice.

We stayed in a cabin in Ponca this weekend and we visited the Lost Vally Store several times. The ladies that run the place are so nice.We did not rent any canoes from them, but they were helpful with our other needs.. They have free coffee in the morning that was delicious. They also have Garfield and Peaches, two of the cutest cats around.
