If you are meandering up or down Route 2, you might want to stop and check out Hager's Farm Market. I have been here on multiple occasions and always love seeing the new gift items, baked goods, fresh produce, meats, cheeses, etc. All are locally made or made in one of the New England states. They even have locally crafted beer and wine.Stopped by recently to pick up three pies for our holiday dessert table...coconut cream, pecan, and pumpkin. There is nothing store bought about these babies, complete homemade goodness. Flaky crust, generous amounts of filling, and perfectly baked. I called ahead of time a few days before Christmas and they were waiting for me to pick up the morning of the 24th.I also managed to peruse the place and ended up finding terrific items for a gift basket...maple syrup, maple sugar candies, maple coated almonds, buttermilk pancake mix. I also found granulated maple sugar. I had never seen this before...cool!They serve breakfast and lunch items, as well as coffee in a little cafe area. If you have time, order and eat there at one of their tables. If not, grab it and go.The baked goods are amazing. Besides the pies they have cakes, cookies, so many type of homemade bread, pastries, apple cider donuts, and the best whoopie pies ever. My favorite are the pumpkin whoopie pies. Very yummy!Love coming here. Stop and check it out.

We stopped by while on a foliage trip along the Mohawk Trail. Its about equidistant from Interstate 91 and the tourist stops in Shelburne Falls. The soft serve was tempting, but we weren't hungry so we had to pass. We got a loaf of bread, some apple fritters and a pumpkin donuts for later. They were all excellent, and the prices were very reasonable.

If you are anywhere near Shelburne Falls (a classic New England town to wander in for a bit) and like fresh, homemade baked goods, produce, and more...definitely stop by Hager's on the way to or from your next destination. The other reviewers cited their favorites, which I suspect are as good as the cinnamon bread. I wish I'd bought several loaves..

After spending the day in Shelburne Falls and headed home, we decided to stop at Hager's Farm Market. This family owned market on the Mohawk Trail is open year round and offers locally grown and produced products. It sells beef, pork, maple products by the Hager family, as well as local fruits and vegetables.Other local items include cider, cheese, eggs, coffee, jams, jellies, honey, candles, beer and wine. There was fresh bread, pies, doughnuts, cookies and muffins which advertised they were "baked daily." They also serve breakfast and lunch. A breakfast specialty is their homemade pancakes topped with Hager Farm maple syrup and served with Hager farm sausage or bacon. They offer pick your own apples and pumpkins. On our visit today we purchased baskets of fresh peaches for eating and for pies, so delicious!

Stopped at Hager's Market for a quick lunch. Had a tasty chicken salad. Two other family members also enjoyed their lunches. We had the soft serve for dessert. The soft serve was fantastic; rich and creamy. Everything in the shop looked tasty and fresh. The baked goods were very tempting. A definite stop anytime I am in Shelbourne Falls.

Ordered my usual pies for the holidays at Hager's Farm Market. Two of the yummiest coconut cream pies graced our dessert table this past Easter. Creamy, rich, coconut goodness topped with fresh whipped cream and toasted coconut all in a flakey homemade pie crust. Wow...these pies were amazing! Also could not resist buying a box of pumpkin whoopie pies and a couple of pecan danish. Oh boy oh boy...these were terrific treats. The whoopies pies had a very pronounced and spicy pumpkin flavor that went perfectly with the thick layer of sweet creamy filling. The danish were thick and dense and so loaded with gooey pecans that it tasted like a pecan pie. This is a great local farm that takes a lot of pride in their market. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is high. If you are looking for great homemade baked treats this is the place. The service is always friendly. If you have a few minutes, you might want to try breakfast or lunch in their cafe. They also do a great catering business for parties. Walk around the store and choose from a super great selection of local products included meats, produce, dairy products, beer, wine, peanut butter, jams, spreads, maple syrup, cider and the list goes on and on.

Small and growing family owned business with lots of homemade baked good and many local products. This place is a farm stand, a bakery, a cafe, a country store, and a catering company. I have ordered their pies for our last two holidays and these have been amazing. I think my husband is officially addicted to their coconut cream pie. He ate six of the eight slices. I was lucky to get one slice and it was outrageously good. I have a weakness for their cider donuts. I try to grab a bag of six whenever I am there. I bought a ton of local products like honey, peanut butter, maple candy, BBQ sauce, jam, fudge....they make great gifts and support the local economy. Their cafe is terrific and I have enjoyed their sandwich specials. I love their hot and crispy hand cut fries. Prices are great and the staff are super friendly. What's not to love? Make sure you stop in...you'll come back again and again.
