Lots to see in several rooms and nooks and crannies. Tons of jewelry - if you need to match an outfit, come here! Lots of "gifty" type items when you're looking for the person that is hard to buy for. Gift wrapped my daughter's purchase for free!
I had seen this shop many times but always seem to hit it right at closing time. This time we made a special trip. Will be making more (especially with my new points card!)As one reviewer put it perfectly, it is like a rabbit warren...deceptively small-looking, but you could get lost in it. Little rooms here and there - one with toys, one with nature items, one with seasonal gifts, one with cards...and on and on it goes. Prices are excellent. There is a lot of jewelry - costume and some sterling and art-type jewelry...very good prices. I ended up with many treasures and Christmas gifts, including a sterling ring made of antique butterfly wing set under Czech glass, and a Bendel-reminiscent brown and white striped perfume bottle (very mid-century modern). Earrings were 20% off and there were hundreds of them, arranged by color - if you needed a particular color for something, voila. Same thing with bangle enamel bracelets and sea glass...pick a color, any color! Browse the women's clothing, house décor, hostess gifts, windchime collection (appear to be locally made, some of antique glassware)..the reason I will suggest that you spend 1-2 hours is because if you like this kind of shop, you will. Staff very friendly. Free gift wrapping.Let's put it this way: I shop. A lot. It's somewhat rare that I find a store where I haven't seen a lot of the inventory before. And there were plenty o' things here I have never seen and probably never will again (e.g., aforementioned ring and perfume bottle). And as my friend put it, "If you can't find anything you like in that shop, you're pretty hard to please."
My husband and I stopped by Sadie Green's curiosity Shop on a Sunday afternoon to kill a little time. We had such a fun time exploring all the nooks and crannies of this eclectic shop. There are many rooms to explore and a wide range of unique gift items. The displays are done so nicely it was almost like being at a museum. I found some beautiful etched champagne flutes that just had to come home with me! Even the bag they put my glasses in was pretty! Such a fun place to wander through!
While in Sturbridge for my son's wedding ventured to this shop and was delighted by the terrific assortment of merchandise.Loved the bargain sunglasses, reading glasses, and the wonderful pashmina shawls! Many fun items for children including delightful books. A great place to find a little something for a hostess or birthday gift.Teen girls will love the rings and silky cord necklaces.Crammed with merchandise it's a nice spot for those who love shopping. Shopkeepers friendlyand helpful.
This shop looks small but is like a rabbit warren...lots of small rooms inside. The items range from unique stained glass to nautical themed coat hooks. It is alot of fun finding the different areas, it is a little cramped but with so much to look at you don"t notice it that much. Fun place to shop for yourself or for gifts.
This place, located near the common and the Publick House, is a cute little shop filled with delightful oddities and jewelry. Much of their jewelry is locally made.
